Video Technology Class - January 2008

Tascosa High School

The Video Technology Class films Rebel TV, which is the announcements that show throughout the school. The students come in every day ready to work and get the announcements recorded and complete. They take everything given to them and run with it. They have rearranged the studio to be better suited for them, added a sports and weather segment and added an interview section on certain days. They have cleaned up and decorated the studio to make it look more appealing to the student body.

Nominator Tiffany Hooker said "The students deserve the Class Act award because they represent the student body on a daily basis. They are wonderful kids and I am very lucky to have them in my class. It will be a sad day when the end of the year comes."

    Luncheon recognizing valedictorians and salutatorians from high schools in the region. 20 other notable students will be honored for volunteerism and service.

    Beating the Odds
    A series of stories published daily in the Amarillo Globe-News during the graduation season that profiles people who have inspiring stories to tell about the degree they are about to receive.

    This event will being together information providers that will benefit persons seeking the next step in their education.

    Discover College Day
    Every 5th grader from amarillo, Canyon, Bushland, Highland Park and River Road school districts will visit a college campus in our area to learn more about college and the careers that are available to those who get an education.
